They also carried out the large-scale fire alarm upgrade project across two sites at Lawrence David, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of trailers based in Peterborough, during which the team of fire alarm experts worked for twelve weeks to equip the large, industrial premises of Lawrence David with a flawless fire alarm system.

The Origins of Swift Fire & Safety

The founder and manager of Swift, Daniel Youngs, who originally came from an electrical background, explained that he prefers the legal framework and principles of working in the fire industry. As Daniel found the fire industry more interesting with a wider range of services to offer, he and his team at Swift now proudly offer it all, whether it’s installation of fire alarms, systems, smoke detectors, extinguishers or general repairs. 

The Expansion Into Security

But if this isn’t enough, Swift made the decision to expand their services into the security industry, further contributing to the protection of businesses in the midlands. The company found that they missed out on many opportunities to provide safety to local areas because they weren’t initially offering security services. They identified a desire for clients in the area to have a one-stop shop for all their fire and security needs, including fire, intruder alarm, access control and CCTV. So they decided to make Swift Fire & Safety that one-stop shop. Under the management of determined founder Daniel Youngs, the company expanded its business and gained new team members adept in the security industry. 

The team worked together to learn the new skills necessary to maintain their exceptionally high level of service in the security industry as well as in the fire industry. It was important to Daniel that the team had the resources and capabilities to keep up the high quality service that they are known for throughout the midlands. Now, they are one of the leading companies in both fire and security installation services in Peterborough and surrounding areas.

Swift Fire & Safety has seen a tremendous growth in opportunities with the new addition of security services. They’ve recently signed a huge new contract which will include Video Intercom, CCTV, Data, Fibre Installation and Networking services for over a development consisting of 261 apartments accross 4 blocks in Eddington. This will ensure safety and security for all residences. Since adding security installation and maintenance to their wide range of services, Swift’s skilled and experienced team has nearly doubled in size since its beginnings in 2019.
